Travel Down the Road and Back and Again With You Your Heart Is True You re a Pal and a Confidant

This theme from the Golden Girls by Andrew Aureate comes to mind for today.  What a funny show that was!  Non only is the song for today's weblog title from "The Golden Girls"…the trivia question is also.  Name the 4 main characters from the Aureate Girls, AND the actresses who played them.  No enquiry allowed – but your memory.

Nosotros got a very early on start this morn.  Earlier 9 a.m., information technology actually wasn't horribly hot exterior.  In fact, with the early on overcast skies, the temperature was almost okay.  We sadly left Hilton Head Harbor Resort and Marina.  Upon reflection, we really should have arranged a longer stay in that location.  I think the park is astounding.  Information technology is one of, if not the nicest  at which we've ever stayed.  We had to drop off the rental auto at the Hilton Caput Isle Airport.  If at that place was any airport that was the exact Contrary of Newark Airport…this would be it.  The building is very pocket-sized, and there's parking right outside the door.  I dropped the car and went back to my job as co-pilot of the RV.  That meant that Mikaela was once again relegated to the couch!  As we prepared for this trip, I knew I wanted to stay on track in my war against weight.  In my research for this trip, I found a Weight Watchers meeting just minutes away. And yes, I did it – I weighed in right afterward dropping off the machine – and had a dandy weight loss!  I guess 10,000 steps and food journals and eating correctly and taking "human bites" all DOES work.  I celebrated past having a piece of the Savannah pralines from yesterday!  But, it was only a slice.  We then proceeded on our two and a half hour journey to Jacksonville, Florida.

By the time we hit Florida, the temperature was, once again, oppressive.  We stopped to pick up the 2 prescriptions at the Walgreens that gave me such problem.  Again – the best laid plans don't mean annihilation sometimes. My least favorite pharmacist "Brandon" shared that he but Tin'T Get one of the medications from his distributor.  I was speechless.  If I had known that in accelerate, as I asked on the phone in one of my many earlier calls, I could have contacted another store. I know for a fact that Walgreens CAN get those meds – considering they filled that same prescription in New Bailiwick of jersey.  I left the shop on fire, and with my hands totally tied.

There was a Winn-Dixie across the street; we filled in with fresh fruit and vegetables. Winn-Dixie is a very dainty store.  We found that the entrance to the Flamingo RV Park was less than 5 minutes away.  That was practiced planning.  They were very nice at the office, and nosotros are in a site that, once over again, is next to the pool.  Our fix upwardly this afternoon was a flake more hard than usual due to the oppressive rut.  We just couldn't absurd the RV down enough to brand it comfortable.  (I must tell yous, as I write this now at 12:30 a.thou. – it'south plenty cool within!)  Nosotros ate a succulent lunch, changed our clothes, and met an one-time friend of Rich'due south simply a few steps from our site.  Rich's friend Steve, his wife Kristin and their 3 boys moved from New Bailiwick of jersey to the Jacksonville area final twelvemonth. Steve came to pick us up and have us dorsum to their lovely home, for a long awaited reunion.

Nosotros had such a dainty visit!  They have a beautiful home and a big, refreshing pool – and we were welcomed in both! Kristin and Steve made tilapia "foil packets" on the grill and delicious asparagus and brown rice.  It was some other bully, healthy dinner!  At that place was, I must mention, excellent dessert to top off the evening. We talked and caught upward on their life in Florida, and nosotros met their 3 very active, very engaging boys!  It was such a nice visit – then nice to come across these old "Jerseyites".

When Steve dropped us dorsum at our site, the place was nighttime and repose.  I take noticed on this trip that the campgrounds in the south certainly don't political party very late.  I also noticed that I only had near 3,500 steps on my fitbit.  I needed 10,000.  As I said yesterday, I am trying to make some changes on a daily basis.  The good news is that Rich offered to walk with me – because information technology was as well nighttime and daunting for me to walk around past myself.  We walked all over, and finally hit our goal of 10,000 steps.  Success!  So, by starting my 24-hour interval with 20 sips of water to hydrate, and food journaling, and 10,000 steps, I am on runway.  Tip number iv was to cut out simple carbs by 6 p.m. I think I did that this night likewise.  I am glad that I can conquer these changes, 1 at a time. It is easy to concentrate on these changes when, of course, I'm not working.  The play a joke on is to do these in conjunction with a job!

Last night'south trivia question was answered first, correctly, by our friend Mitch, with friend Lew getting honorable mention for giving the proper name in its entirety.  The infinite man on the Flintstones was "The Bang-up Gazoo".  Information technology was a deep question, I know, but I feel I must use this platform to educate the public!

I am watching a recap of today'due south events on the news, and I am deplorable and aroused at the violence in our beautiful country.  Because this country is so cute, and because in that location are and then many wonderful people to meet, and considering life is brusk – nosotros must modify.  I'k non making a political statement – I'1000 praying for peace.

I will end with some of the beauty that nosotros have seen in the past few days.
